Changing of the guild

If you're a fan of Royal Canadian Air Farce, like myself (although I think its quality has declined over the last few years), you might be interested in this article on which actors will play which Conservative Cabinet ministers.

Don Ferguson: Stockwell Day
Alan Park: Peter MacKay
Luba Goy: Bev Oda, Rona Ambrose
Jessica Holmes: Diane Finley
Craig Lauzon: Stephen Harper, John Baird

Something else in the article that I noticed:
Craig Lauzon, who plays Stephen Harper on the Royal Canadian Air Farce, may be one of the few Toronto actors who saw a positive side to the Conservative minority government.
Hollywood North is anti-Conservative? Well, you could have knocked me over with a feather when I read that!

But does he have any desire to meet the new Prime Minister in person? "Nope," says Lauzon, whose portrayal of Harper is not exactly a compliment. "I'm not sure how that would go ... But it's the sincerest form of flattery, right?"

Wow. Speaking as someone who has met with the prime minister no less than four times over the past 2 years, I'd say that I have a little more credibility than Mr. Lauzon on this issue.

It's funny; the people who think that harper is stiff and robotic have no idea what he's like in person - warm, friendly and liable to crack a joke or two at a moment's notice.

idiots. They don't know what they are talking about.
